Strategy and organisation
Steve Vandenberghe is the head of Domiva. He is a firm believer in dialogue, transparency and building bridges between businesses, domestic helpers, policymakers and users of service vouchers.
Daan Fossaert is responsible for Strategy and Organisation at Domiva. Together with Steve Vandenberghe, he is committed to creating a forward-looking sector that works for everyone.
The service voucher sector makes a tangible difference to people’s lives every day. It gives families some breathing space, creates jobs for domestic helpers, and fulfils a clear social role within society. Long live a sector that means so much today, and which must be able to continue to thrive tomorrow.
Domiva aims to contribute to this: by speaking out to bring people together, offer a nuanced perspective and help build a sustainable framework for service voucher companies.
Greater stability for single people. For older people, the chance to continue living independently in their own homes for longer. At the same time, it is about stable, recognised work with social protection. It is about people having an official status rather than disappearing into the informal economy.
The impact extends beyond the individual household: higher labour force participation, less pressure on families, and greater social security.
The service voucher sector needs a long-term vision. Building bridges between businesses, domestic helpers, families and policymakers: to me, that is the only way forward. The sooner, the better.
